 Seurat uses pointillism in this piece. He focused mostly on the landscape and spent two years on the piece. Oil on Canvas

Giotto  Click to view full-sized image  Renaissance   1305  This painting has a lot of detail. The faces show a lot of expression and you can see the weeping. The angels surrounding Christ draw you attention to Him. 
Watteau  Click to view full-sized image  Rococo  1716-1717  The Perspective. It is oil on canvas. Very dark and detailed. The house in the back isvery detailed relative to its distance and it is very centered.
Poussin  Click to view full-sized image  Neo-Classical  1633-1636  The Adoration of the Golden Calf. This oil on canvas is also extremely detailed. You can see the texture in the clothing and the hair of thosse surrounding.
