Design your journal

Page history last edited by PBworks 16 years, 6 months ago

Designing your journal/sketchbook cover is all about creating a personal expression to introduce your artwork and commentary. Using the knowledge of the previous collage projects, draw four possible designs for the cover of your journal. Draw in great detail even if you plan to collage some of the images on your page. If you are not using a commercial sketchbook with a cardboard cover, you will need to provide posterboard or cardboard to work on. Do not make your sketchbook smaller than 8.5 X 11. Refer to the following link for detailed instruction and several examples that students have created:

When you have a good design and gather any material that you need such as magazines, colored paper, scissors, glue, and any additional supplies such as map colors or paint, then create your cover.
