Collage assignment one is all about discovering lines. After you have read lesson six and looked at IMAGEFOLDER SIX, use a variety of paper sources such as construction paper, magazines, or patterned images to create a collage emphasizing ONE type of line. Your textbook mentions some of the common ones such as straight, wavy, and zig-zag. Use your imagination to expand your interpretation of the assignment. Do not attemp to make "pictures" on this assignment. You may want to think of your design as a pattern for a quilt. A good size for this assignment is 6" x 9".
